 Welcome!!!

So you’ve heard the term “Blog” and you’d like to know what it’s all about. I’ve got you covered!!!
“Blog” short for web log is an internet journal that allows someplace for people to share their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. The topic may vary depending on the “Blogger” of which is the person of whom has set-up the informational cyber location.

As I reflect on the many ways to make use of a blog for educational purposes, I can think of many. I think this would be a great tool for grade school through college.

To make use of this tool for K-12 students there’s endless ideas. However, for the youngsters I am all about safety, so first we’d have to have a private blog. Someplace where students can share their thoughts, questions, or ideas in regards to class material. I’d also allow this educational board to be fun while learning. Therefore, I would recommend different free online games for students to have fun while learning. For my parents, I’d be sure to keep updated class material that will allow for up to date information for schedules and due dates.

For college level students, blogging will allow room for creativity. I do feel this will allow a much more adult discussion of people, places, and things around the world. I personally would love those opinionated discussions and factual based blogs. Let’s not forget those that a very creative poets. This would be a fun tool to use for students to extend their minds and deepen their thoughts about the world.

  1. Tennille, your blog does a great job of communicating your "voice." I felt like you were talking to me, especially at the beginning.

I like your blogging ideas for k-12 students. Have you used blogging in the classroom yet?
